Our Neuroscience Precision Measures team leads in the development of transformational medicines for Neurodegeneration, Neuropsychiatry and Ophthalmology by advancing Precision in Measurement. You can influence the future success of our Precision Neuroscience portfolio by partnering along the pipeline to ensure measurement discovery and development strategies are deeply aligned. We are searching for a Senior Principal Scientist, Computational Multiomics, Precision Measures , to be in either Cambridge, MA; Spring House, PA; La Jolla, CA United States of America or Beerse, Antwerp, Belgium, and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remotely per week.

Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will apply large scale multiomics and genetic capabilities to support precision medicine from discovery through development in our Neuroscience portfolio.
Collaborate closely with the Molecular Biomarker leads in Precision Measures and pipeline program teams to drive in-silico identification of target engagement and pharmacodynamic biomarker candidates.
Partner with Neuroscience Discovery on the evaluation of target opportunities from the perspective of cutting-edge genetics, bioinformatics, biosignatures, brain biology, and mechanism, drawing upon a combination of internal and external human data resources and integrative analytics.
Drive evidence generation and partnership strategies for markers of disease heterogeneity, progression, and treatment response from data sources including clinical trials, precompetitive consortia, academic collaborations or population biobanks. This candidate will be a thought leader on the use of computational tools and analytic approaches in this setting
Engage with Clinical Development, Global Regulatory Affairs, Data Science & Digital Health, Patient Reported Outcomes, Statistics to contribute to holistic measurement plans (across molecular, imaging, digital, clinical and other measures) for our compounds in development.
Contribute to a purpose driven culture in which decisions and actions are strategically informed by patient, customer and employee needs by aligning Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.
Qualifications:
Education
PhD with 5-6 years of progressive experience in a computational or physical science with prior application of advanced methods to the life sciences. A degree in a biological science with extensive application of advanced analytic methodologies will also be considered. Computational Neuroscience experience is a plus.
Required :
Ability to translate data into information and strategies into executable action plans.
Extensive background working hands-on deriving insights from high-dimensional molecular data, particularly transcriptomic, genetic, proteomic, spatial and/or single cell data.
Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams including scientists, data analysts and clinicians.
Internationally recognized track record of scientific contributions with first author publications in high-impact journals.
Preferred :
Known for driving towards novel solutions to problems (often sought after for strategic advice)
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team, including laboratory scientists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, and data analysts
Familiarity with genomics, human genetics and disease biology in Neurodegeneration and/or neuropsychiatry
Effectively communicates technical information to audiences regardless of audience background.
Experience and familiarity with electronic health record derived phenotypes.
Strong proficiency in managing workflows, priorities, and deadlines and managing multiple projects in team environments.
Ability to write manuscripts for publication and has maintained a record of high-quality peer reviewed publications and oral presentations in a relevant field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as organizational and time management skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to 235,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
