Behavioral Health Technician

Behavioral Health Technician Quadrant Health Group provides effective, evidence‑based addiction treatment that leads to long‑term recovery. The position is located in Johnston, Iowa. About this position We are looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to support our clinical staff, ensuring efficient and effective client flow and contributing to a positive client experience. A chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients. What You’ll Do Maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program as part of the treatment team. Provide client supervision and support to staff/unit. Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with clients and staff. Provide emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to clients and their families. Support clients’ comfort and safety in the residential environment. Listen attentively, document client behavior, and report observations to clinical staff. Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times. Complete intake assessments and consents with clients. Conduct patient rounds every 30 minutes. Complete contraband searches and random room searches. Maintain cleanliness of the facility. Apply knowledge of emergency procedures. Facilitate groups, outings, and educational sessions. Transport clients. Provide crisis intervention and promote a healthy residential and working environment. Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed. What You’ll Bring Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, boundaries, and patient confidentiality. Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co‑workers, clinical staff, and administration. Strong attention to detail and organizational and time‑management skills. High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred. Current CPR and First Aid certification. CADC certification is a nice to have. Successful completion of pre‑employment requirements including a criminal background clearance, drug testing, and health screening.
