REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis. * A minimum of 2 to 3+ years’ experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred. * Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems. * Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required. * Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value. * Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications. * Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.

• Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of

equipment, including warranty records.
