Long/Short Equity Analyst – Restaurants & Leisure New York | On-site A long-established long/short equity investment firm with a multi-billion-dollar platform is seeking a senior Equity Analyst to join its Consumer investing team. The role is focused exclusively on Restaurants & Leisure , including restaurants, hotels, casinos, recreation, and broader discretionary leisure. This is a specialist position and not a consumer generalist role. The firm is looking for someone with deep sector experience who can drive the research process end-to-end and consistently generate actionable investment ideas. Responsibilities Conduct fundamental research across Restaurants & Leisure subsectors Build detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses Generate differentiated long and short ideas with clear risk/reward profiles Monitor positions and industry developments on an ongoing basis Collaborate closely with senior investors in a focused, idea-driven environment Ideal Background 5+ years of experience in long/short equity, buy-side or sell-side equity research Demonstrated depth in Restaurants, Leisure, or discretionary consumer sectors Strong analytical foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and valuation Proven ability to translate research into profitable investment decisions Comfortable operating in a high-accountability, performance-driven setting Interested candidates should apply with a current resume.
