Campus Technology Services Engineer

Grand Canyon University, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University. The Campus Technology Service Engineer offers technical support through configuring, updating, and maintaining audio, video, and point-of-sale equipment utilized in campus operations. Acts as a tier 2 troubleshooter for hardware and software configurations of audio and visual media control systems, end devices, and point-of-sale devices used across campus. Responsibilities Test integrated audio, visual, and point-of-sale systems and perform troubleshooting when required. Assist the Audio-Visual Supervisor with projects and commissioning of systems, including confirmation of design accuracy and updating project management software as needed. Assist end users with training and system setup for presentation and general use, including large meeting spaces. Conduct testing, firmware updates, and maintenance on Audio Visual systems and components. Read and build single line drawings for projects in AutoCAD. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience with AV systems and basic technology troubleshooting. Proficient understanding of audio and video signals. Knowledge of Audio DSP layout and programming. PC knowledge including communication methods between PC and devices. Ability to integrate and learn other connecting IP technology and systems as it relates to Audio, Visual, and Point of Sale systems.
