This travel RN Med Surg/Telemetry position provides exposure to a range of patient care needs, especially in a unit where most patients require more hands-on physical assistance. Expand your resume with rotations across multiple acute care settings, work alongside leaders in diverse specialties, and deepen your understanding of hospital workflows and patient management. Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts (3 per week), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Holiday staffing according to unit needs

Qualifications:

• Active KS or Compact RN License
• ACLS & BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent Telemetry experience (within 18 months) in a hospital
• Proficient managing a 5:1 RN ratio
• Background in General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and Orthopedics preferred
• Skilled in managing Heparin drips, TPN, PCA, telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Experience with cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
• Ability to float to all acute care units

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to med/surg and telemetry patients
• Assist patients requiring two-person mobility support
• Accurately monitor telemetry and administer complex medications
• Collaborate effectively with the interprofessional team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document care using EPIC EMR
