AI Architect

We are seeking an experienced AI Contractor to support a statewide Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence. This role is ideal for a hands-on AI professional who can evaluate emerging technologies, design secure AI solutions, develop prototypes, and help government agencies implement responsible and scalable artificial intelligence initiatives. What You'll Do Design secure and reusable AI architectures and technical patterns. Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and feasibility assessments. Build and implement AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation solutions. Evaluate AI platforms, models, tools, vendors, and proposed use cases. Establish POC success criteria, KPIs, and production-monitoring measures. Integrate AI capabilities with Microsoft Azure and AWS. Create dashboards and reports covering AI adoption, performance, cost, risk, and operational outcomes. Support AI governance, security, privacy, compliance, and statewide approval processes. Advise technical and business stakeholders on AI opportunities, limitations, and implementation risks. Required Experience 2+ years of hands-on experience with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or comparable Generative AI platforms 2+ years designing and implementing AI agents and RAG solutions 1+ year establishing and evaluating proof-of-concept success criteria 1+ year using AI-assisted coding tools for development, testing, debugging, and documentation 1+ year defining AI KPIs and production-monitoring measures 1+ year developing AI dashboards and operational reporting 1+ year integrating AI capabilities with both Azure and AWS A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of transformers, neural networks, natural language processing, image classification, and time-series data Experience with data storage, retrieval, cleansing, embeddings, and vector databases Understanding of responsible AI, cybersecurity, privacy, vendor risk, and AI governance Strong technical writing, presentation, public-speaking, and knowledge-transfer skills Experience contributing to complex enterprise or public-sector projects #J-18808-Ljbffr Tech Army, LLC
