Join our Lockheed Martin, Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team as we are pioneers of high-performance air and missile defense, air-to-air, precision fires, close combat, sustainment, sensors, strike system and energy storage solutions to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments.
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Quality Engineer Associate for a position in Orlando, FL to develop and maintain Systems and Software Quality Engineering common processes that are aligned with AS9100 Quality Management System, Program and Customer requirements.
The Software Quality Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products; develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives; designs and implements software development and maintenance processes; defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes; designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation; evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards; performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements; reviews requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and
methodologies; performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
Travel may be required to support program activities.
Candidate must work well in a team environment as this role requires interfacing with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a Technical Engineering degree preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to travel
• Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

• Ability to understand software design and source code (ADA / C / C++) to verify correct implementation of requirements.
• Lab/Test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills.
• Hands-on experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
• Familiar with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and Gitlab.
• Familiar with automated test system platforms (NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW).

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $66,200 - $114,655. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
