Inspire young minds as an English Language Arts educator, working at a supportive school environment in the Donaldsonville/Napoleonville area. This contract assignment offers a unique opportunity to shape students’ academic journeys while bringing your expertise in general education and ELA to a collaborative and dedicated faculty. The position requires an active Louisiana Teaching License with appropriate endorsements, and will be based onsite only.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Teaching License and required endorsements for ELA/general education
• Experience delivering standards-based instruction in English Language Arts at the elementary or secondary level
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and families
• Ability to foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages participation and growth
• Adaptability and commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging ELA lesson plans that align with curriculum guidelines and state standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners across the classroom
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as needed
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to enhance educational outcomes
• Maintain accurate classroom records and documentation for student work and assessments
• Create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment where every student can thrive

This contract role spans from ASAP through May 25, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Details of specific duties will be finalized in July, and the opening is anticipated to be confirmed for the 2026-2027 school year.
