This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Required to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. In this role, you will care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including sepsis, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and congestive heart failure. The unit has a daily census of 29 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in patient condition.
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
• Provide care and management for various medical devices and procedures, including feeding tubes and central lines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience, with a background in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry preferred.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state license.
• BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
