Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using occupational therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard occupational therapy practices. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers, and collaborate with care teams and stakeholders to deliver patient‑centered care. Provide competent outpatient occupational therapy services, staying updated on standard practices for various patient groups. Conduct evaluations and treatments according to professional standards, considering diagnosis, history, and physician referrals; develop care plans with specific, measurable goals. Maintain thorough and timely patient records, complete billing accurately, and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers regarding patient needs and goals. Supervise assistants, aides, office staff, and students to ensure high‑quality patient care and education. Minimum Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist license in states where you work. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Basic computer skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working with children in an outpatient setting. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record. Ability to read labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment and perform frequent computer use. Physical ability to lift, transfer, and move supplies up to heavy items; navigate crowded spaces; stand for extended periods. Shift Details Full‑time; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 40 hours per week; no weekends. Location St. Mary's Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO (Outpatient). Compensation Hourly range: $42.66 – $65.82, dependent upon experience.
