Financial Aid Advisor
Germanna Community College is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Advisor to work in the Financial Aid Office at our Locust Grove Campus. The successful candidate will provide direct assistance and support services to staff and students in-person, virtually, and phone. The primary responsibilities of this position include assisting students and families with financial aid options and processing federal, state, and institutional financial aid applications and files in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. Some travel to other college locations may be required.
Ability to work independently and analytically, exercise discretion and good judgment Ability to handle complex and detail-oriented workload Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff, including those from diverse backgrounds Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills Strong organizational skills Commitment to working with diverse colleagues, students, and community members Experience in a post-secondary education, preferably in a community college financial aid office setting Bilingual in Spanish
