POSITION SUMMARY

The Medical DayAssistant provides supportive care and supervision to pediatric patientsenrolled in the Pediatric Medical Day Care program under the direction oflicensed nursing staff. The Medical Day Assistant assists with activities ofdaily living, therapeutic activities, patient supervision, and maintaining asafe and developmentally appropriate environment. Care is deliveredin accordance with: Facility policiesand procedures NJ Department ofHealth Pediatric Medical Day Care standards Infection controland safety policies Department ofNursing guidelines The Medical DayAssistant promotes a safe, nurturing, and family-centered environmentwhile supporting the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
