The Homestead CNA - FT Evenings/Weekends (800557)

Job Description: We are hiring for The Homestead CNA - FT Evenings/Weekends to work in a skilled nursing facility in Penn Yan, NY 14527 . In this role, you will perform direct and indirect resident care within the scope of practice defined by your certification, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.

Shift Details:

• Shift: Full-Time Evenings (7.5-hour shifts)

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 shifts per week)

• Weekend Requirement: Every weekend required.

• Schedule Note: The client attempts to schedule two consecutive days off each week.

Key Requirements:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living ( ADLs ), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care.

• Monitor resident status and promptly report any changes to the licensed nursing staff.

• Ensure resident safety by utilizing proper positioning, transfer techniques, and safety equipment.

• Support nutritional needs, including meal delivery, tray preparation, and feeding assistance.

• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in the facility's EMR system.

Key Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Certification: Current New York State (NYS) Nursing Assistant Certification .

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of previous LTC experience (Must have been licensed for at least 1 year).

• Life Safety: Valid BLS certification (AHA or RQI certifications ONLY).

• Skills: Ability to provide age-specific care for adult and geriatric populations.
