The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s global mobility and immigration programs, ensuring compliant, efficient, and employee-focused mobility operations across multiple jurisdictions. This role manages relocation and immigration coordination, supports cross-border workforce movement, and partners closely with People & Culture, Payroll, Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and external vendors to ensure mobility programs align with organizational growth, compliance requirements, and operational needs. The position plays a key role in developing scalable mobility processes, supporting employee experience, and maintaining governance and compliance standards related to global workforce movement. The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s global mobility and immigration programs, ensuring compliant, efficient, and employee-focused mobility operations across multiple jurisdictions. This role manages relocation and immigration coordination, supports cross-border workforce movement, and partners closely with People & Culture, Payroll, Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and external vendors to ensure mobility programs align with organizational growth, compliance requirements, and operational needs. The position plays a key role in developing scalable mobility processes, supporting employee experience, and maintaining governance and compliance standards related to global workforce movement. Job Requirements Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, or related discipline 3–5 years of experience in global mobility, immigration coordination, HR operations, or international workforce administration Experience supporting immigration and relocation processes across multiple jurisdictions Familiarity with Canadian, U.S., Australian, and international immigration processes and documentation requirements Experience working with external immigration counsel, relocation providers, and third-party vendors Understanding of mobility-related payroll, tax, and compliance considerations Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent cases and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and confidential records Experience working with HRIS platforms and case tracking/reporting tools Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and global teams Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or global organization is considered an asset Job Responsibilities Coordinating global mobility and immigration processes for employee relocations, assignments, and international hires Supporting end-to-end mobility administration including immigration documentation, relocation coordination, vendor management, and employee communications Partnering with external immigration counsel and relocation vendors to ensure timely and compliant processing of work authorizations and mobility activities Tracking and maintaining employee immigration records, visa expiry dates, and mobility-related documentation Supporting mobility-related compliance activities and ensuring adherence to immigration, tax, and employment regulations Coordinating Payroll and Finance teams regarding relocation payments, tax implications, and mobility-related reporting requirements Providing guidance to managers, employees, and internal stakeholders regarding mobility processes, timelines, and requirements Supporting development and maintenance of mobility policies, procedures, and governance standards Maintaining accurate mobility data and reporting metrics to support operational visibility and compliance tracking Assisting with mobility cost tracking, reporting, and vendor invoice management Identifying opportunities to improve mobility processes, employee experience, and operational scalability Supporting Talent Acquisition and business leaders with international hiring and workforce mobility requirements Job Benefits At IREN, we offer a highly competitive compensation package that includes base salary, annual performance incentives, and opportunities to build long-term wealth through equity programs.
