Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

Process and manage 100+ invoices weekly across multiple customers and contract types Review contracts, purchase orders, and supporting documents for billing accuracy Generate, validate, and submit invoices according to customer requirements Monitor AR aging reports and track outstanding balances Investigate and resolve past-due invoices, disputes, and payment discrepancies Coordinate with internal teams and customer contacts regarding invoice approvals and payment status Audit labor charges, rates, pricing, and billing data before invoice submission Process billing adjustments, reconciliations, and corrections Submit invoices through customer portals and third-party platforms Maintain customer and billing records within Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, and related systems Provide billing support for audits and compliance requests Assist with collections efforts and process improvement initiatives Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist for a top clean energy and infrastructure client. This candidate will be responsible for managing the full invoice lifecycle for a large portfolio of complex B2B accounts, ensuring billing accuracy, contract compliance, timely invoice submission, and successful collections efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume invoicing, accounts receivable management, aging analysis, dispute resolution, and contract-based billing environments. This role offers the opportunity to partner with internal stakeholders and enterprise customers while supporting critical billing operations in a rapidly growing industry.

Pay Range: $20-$27/HR

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of billing, accounts receivable, collections, or Order-to-Cash (O2C) experience Experience managing complex, high-value B2B accounts Contract-based billing experience High-volume invoicing experience (100+ invoices weekly) Accounts receivable aging analysis experience Experience resolving past-due receivables, payment disputes, and billing discrepancies Strong understanding of billing compliance and invoice documentation requirements ERP and CRM system experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including reconciliations, reporting, and analysis Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and customer service skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Microsoft Business Central experience Salesforce experience Experience supporting energy, utility, gas, infrastructure, construction, transportation, engineering, manufacturing, or public-sector clients Government, municipal, utility, or infrastructure contract experience Experience with customer invoicing portals and third-party billing platforms Audit support experience Experience improving billing processes, reducing invoice errors, and accelerating collections
