Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications and systems Write and debug code using mainframe languages such as COBOL, JCL, or PL/I Analyze and resolve mainframe system issues, ensuring high availability and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions Perform system testing, quality assurance, and documentation for mainframe environments Monitor batch processing jobs and manage scheduling using tools like TWS or CA7 Support mainframe migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives Requirements: Proven experience in mainframe development or administration (IBM z/OS environment preferred) Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and/or other mainframe technologies Experience with CICS, DB2, or IMS is a strong asset Solid understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and mainframe performance tuning Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
