Professional Services Consultant - Environmental Science

Purpose Do you have a passion for traveling to client sites and helping them make a difference by working with laboratories and their staff to accurately and effectively utilize our Products? As a Professional Services Consultant, you will deliver implementation and consulting projects to achieve successful on-time schedule completion and client satisfaction. You will provide clients with mentorship and advice for workflow planning and drive the adoption of standard methodologies for the greatest customer return on investment. You will be responsible for performing contracted onsite and remote services for clients. Essential Functions Consult pre-sale and post-sale with key stakeholders to ensure project scope aligns with contracted customer expectations Conduct implementations/upgrades demonstrating a thorough knowledge and understanding of department procedures and guidelines Leverage AI-enabled tools and Clinisys platforms to optimize implementation workflows, improve data analysis, and enhance decision-making during client engagements Guide the client in their decision-making to achieve maximum efficiency using Clinisys' best practice recommendations Conduct training for the client as part of the overall implementation/upgrade process Provide input to process improvements by monitoring both client and departmental feedback Travel to client sites to install Clinisys software products following department procedures and guidelines Maintain a high level of commitment to superior customer satisfaction throughout the entire duration of the customer relationship Resolve project issues or determine when escalation to senior staff or management is required Collaborates with and mentors other Professional Services Consultants to expand their own and others' depth & breadth of Clinisys product knowledge Effectively organize and prioritize project tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects assigned Complete other projects as assigned Skills needed to be successful Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects and priorities from start to finish Strong understanding of client/workflow concepts relative to laboratory operations, Laboratory Information Management Systems, software applications, with some knowledge of instrument and 3rd party interfacing Ability to understand how multiple systems work together and the ability to make recommendations Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects and priorities from start to finish Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to develop and improve workflow processes and procedures, and drive client process improvements Required Experience & Education Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Environmental Sciences or Information Technology, or related degree 3+ years of experience in an Environmental Science Laboratory, knowledge of related standards and EPA testing methodologies 3 years of experience writing SQL queries (Oracle DB knowledge preferred) 3 years of experience with laboratory reporting tools (Telerik, Actuate, Crystal, etc.) 3 years of experience working with application interfaces (HL7, API, etc.) Preferred Experience & Education 5 years of experience with administration of Laboratory Information Management Systems or Clinisys software products and one year working with Clinisys applications (Horizon/CLS, Sunquest) 1+ years experience with programming languages (C#, Java, Python, etc) 1 year of experience working in a consulting or implementation environment Experience or exposure to utilizing AI tools, like Co-Pilot, to streamline processes and communication Supervisory Responsibilities None Onboarding As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend/travel to the office on their first day of employment (Raleigh, NC / Tucson, AZ / Carmel, IN). This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally between $75,000 - $100,000 in annual base salary. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the exact starting pay may be above or below this range. Physical Requirements Work is performed in a typical office setting with minimal health or safety hazards, including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 25-50% Travel may be required Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions Travel to client sites can pose a risk to healthcare organizations.
