Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Fort Wayne, IN, working in a hospital cardiovascular operating room. You will function as a member of the cardiac surgical team, preparing the sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, assisting surgeons during procedures, turning over rooms to maintain case flow, and helping maintain a safe surgical environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current CST credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a CVOR surgical technologist with strong cardiac surgery skills.
• Experience or proficiency in assisting with cardiovascular cases and room turnover in an OR setting.
• Travel candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Required documentation for submission: current license and certifications, and driver's license with permanent home address that matches ID.

Preferred Qualifications

• Thoracic da Vinci robotic experience preferred.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 06:30 – 17:00.
• Schedule: 4x10 shifts.
• On-call as needed.
• May be required to float to the main OR as needed.
• Unit size: 4 ORs.

As a travel CVOR technologist you will provide critical support to surgical teams in cardiac cases, contribute to case flow and patient safety, and support clinical education and operational needs across assignments.
