Energy and Climate Solutions Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Energy and Climate Solutions Associate in Boston. The role focuses on transactional work within the energy sector, requiring expertise in project development contracts and commercial agreements. The position involves direct client interaction and collaboration with partners and counsel. Duties Analyze and draft project development contracts, including power purchase agreements. Work on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions. Serve as the primary associate on project and portfolio acquisitions and financing support. Utilize and adapt commercial structures for various energy projects. Develop expertise in structuring and negotiating energy project transactions. Requirements 3rd to 7th year associate with a focus on transactional work in the energy sector. Strong communication and project management skills. Ability to work with a wide range of clients and legal professionals. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Proficiency in drafting and analyzing key project development contracts. Experience with commercial agreements and joint ventures. Ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships.
