Anivas Tech is seeking a webMethods SME to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 12+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment.
Requirements:- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the Software AG webMethods integration platform
- Design, develop, and maintain integration flows, services, and APIs using webMethods Integration Server, Broker/Universal Messaging, and related components
- Analyze government agency integration requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable webMethods solutions
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production integration issues affecting mission-critical systems
- Perform impact assessments for proposed enhancements, patches, and platform upgrades
- Collaborate with application owners, data teams, and infrastructure staff to ensure reliable end-to-end integration
- Support performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of the webMethods platform
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, runbooks, and API catalogs
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across the integration team
- Ensure integration solutions comply with federal security, governance, and architectural standards
- US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree
- 12+ years of experience with Software AG webMethods, including Integration Server, Universal Messaging, and Trading Networks
- Deep expertise in developing and maintaining integration services, adapters, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with API management (webMethods API Gateway/Portal or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, and EDI integration standards
- Proficiency in Java or other programming languages used within the webMethods ecosystem
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to lead incident resolution in production
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder and leadership engagement
- Software AG webMethods certification
- Experience working in a federal government IT environment
- Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodology experience
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud integration platforms
- Experience migrating or modernizing legacy webMethods environments
