Job Description Yard Jockey / Heavy Equipment OperatorWeekly Pay | $25-$27/HR | 4-Day Work Week Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Are you experienced operating heavy equipment, forklifts, or moving large materials in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment? We're looking for a hardworking Yard Jockey / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team and help keep our structural steel fabrication operation running smoothly. This is a hands‑on role where you'll operate heavy‑duty forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment while supporting yard, shipping, receiving, and fabrication operations. What You'll Do Operate heavy‑duty forklifts to move, organize, and stage steel and other large materials Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Support shipping and receiving activities Stage materials for welders and fabricators to maintain production flow Operate overhead and jib cranes to position materials Assist with basic fabrication and shop support duties as needed Help maintain an organized, safe, and productive yard and shop environment Work closely with welders, fabricators, and production teams throughout the day What We're Looking For Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, construction equipment, or industrial machinery Background in material handling, warehousing, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, shipping/receiving, or logistics Comfortable working with steel and other heavy materials Experience loading and unloading trucks Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in an active industrial setting Strong safety mindset and attention to detail Team player willing to jump in wherever needed Great Fit For Candidates With Experience As: Yard Jockey Forklift Operator Heavy Equipment Operator Material Handler Shipping & Receiving Associate Warehouse Associate Construction Equipment Operator Steel Yard Worker Crane Operator Manufacturing Associate Production Worker CDL Driver seeking a local position Lumber Yard or Building Materials Yard Associate Why Join Us? $25/hr starting pay Weekly pay 4-day work week with Fridays off Consistent daytime schedule Annual bonus potential Opportunity to operate a variety of equipment Stable, growing structural steel fabrication company Team-oriented culture with opportunities to expand your skills Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.
