Apply to join us as an in-store Department Manager. What You’ll Do As a Department Manager, you will own a department and focus on maximizing its sales, inventory, and standards. You will manage inventory, move product according to customer demand, review and manage planograms and period layouts, and be commercially aware of trends to order merchandise daily and drive sales. You will monitor the local market to maintain a competitive advantage in price, product, and shopping experience, using data to understand department performance, drive sales, meet targets, and ensure accurate stock files. As the leader of your department, you will hire, train, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Associates and Team Leaders to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for every customer and a positive work environment for every colleague. What You’ll Bring To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and demonstrate strong commercial acumen, typically as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Department Manager. You are nimble and adaptable, able to flex plans and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. You have strong communication skills and the ability to relate to customer needs. You are a role model who can lead, motivate, and inspire the team, building confidence and enthusiasm, enabling excellent store standards and customer service. You are resilient with a proven ability to lead a team and confident in giving constructive feedback. You are commercially aware with an understanding of the local market, key competitors, and how relevant systems and tools can improve option control and drive sales. You possess good planning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working within agreed timescales. You have experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property, and premises, securing cash, stock, and property, and keyholder responsibilities including availability for emergency call‑outs. You can effectively manage difficult situations and possess good problem‑solving skills. You communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English, providing instruction, coaching, corrective action, safety instructions, and leadership in both day‑to‑day and emergency situations. You provide excellent customer service in English, communicating orally with customers and monitoring the performance of English‑speaking colleagues whose duties require customer communication. The pay range for this role is: $58,700–$71,760. This is a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The base pay rate offered will account for internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
