Cloud Architect, AWS Managed Services

Salary: $131,600 - 131,600 per year Requirements:

• We need deep technical expertise in infrastructure, software architecture, and cloud computing.
• We need customer-facing experience, ideally gained in presales or consultancy work, to represent AWS in discussions with senior stakeholders.
• We need the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
• We need awareness of technology trends and how they influence the way businesses consume IT.
• We require knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, ELB, RDS, Route 53, and S3.
• We require experience implementing AWS services across a range of distributed computing environments.
• We prefer at least 5 years of IT implementation experience.
• We prefer technical experience in cloud computing technologies, including design and implementation.
• We prefer experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale, or recent hands-on experience in infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

• We support the AWS business development team in shaping strategy to drive AWS adoption across our focus industry verticals.
• We guide customers to succeed in building and migrating applications, software, and services in line with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• We educate enterprise customers on the value of AWS and take part in in-depth architectural discussions to ensure cloud-ready solutions.
• We deliver one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions for customers evaluating or already using AWS.
• We capture and share best-practice knowledge across the AWS Solutions Architecture community.
• We author or contribute to customer-facing content such as blogs and whitepapers.
• We build strong relationships with senior technical contacts at customer organizations to help them become cloud advocates.
• We act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.
