Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a Level I trauma acute care hospital.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with CT Tech unit
• Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patient populations
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Uses Siemens CT equipment
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• 1st shift, 4x10 hour days, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Call required at least 1 night per week
• No floating within scope required per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required
• State license required if applicable
• Active IL state license required (or in application process with ETA)
• AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
• Experience with Abdomen and Pelvis CT (with/without contrast)
• Experience with Chest CT and Vascular Chest CT (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Experience with Head and Neck CT including Carotid, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, and Trauma head
• Experience with Spine and Musculoskeletal CT including Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic, and MSK trauma
• Experience with Coronary CTA required
• Proficiency in 3D rendering, Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and Region of Interest (ROI) measurement
• Skilled in Isolation Precautions, contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture

• Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds
• First-time travelers accepted
• Scrubs of any solid color accepted
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Time off requests must be discussed with the manager
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
