Maintenance Electrician

The Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer sets up and maintains PLC and electrical systems throughout the plant to support production, connects to systems via laptop to configure and troubleshoot equipment, and helps oversee the work of machine operators to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up PLC and electrical systems throughout the plant using a laptop to configure equipment required for each production job.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve control system issues that impact production.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting on equipment and systems to identify faults and restore proper operation.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain I/O logic and AC/DC drives to ensure machines operate within required parameters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to install, adjust, and repair equipment correctly.
• Collaborate with machine operators to ensure equipment is set up properly and operating safely and efficiently.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately using basic math, writing, and reading skills.
• Use computer-based tools and software to interface with PLCs, maintain records, and support maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring equipment issues and suggesting corrective actions.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintenance best practices while working on electrical and mechanical systems.

Essential Skills

• Working knowledge of PLCs, including BNR and Allen Bradley systems.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting skills for industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems.
• Hands-on experience with I/O logic configuration and diagnostics.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC drives and their application in manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to successfully use basic math, writing, and reading skills to complete required paperwork and projects.
• Computer literacy and ability to use a laptop to connect to and configure PLC and electrical systems.
• 5+ years of industrial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Experience working with multiple PLC platforms, including BNR and Allen Bradley, is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with electrical systems and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with machine operators and other maintenance personnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when troubleshooting equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Hamilton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $83200.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
