Candidate must have Margin and/or Risk experience.Cross Asset Margin technology teams actively develop and enhance a set of co-operative, strategic systems and services which are regulatory driven and have a direct bearing on how Citi Capital Markets manages risk arising from trading, including both market and counterparty credit risks. We are responsible for calculating margin requirements for OTC bilateral derivatives and optimizing margin requirements for clients by considering offsets across various financial products using models like VaR, SIMM and Credit Stress. We support traders, salespeople, risk managers, financial controllers and operations staff.The Lead Java Developer is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis, design and programming activities. This is a senior technical position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.Responsibilities:Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.Guide team to establish design standard, improving efficiency of development workflow and product rollout.Take ownership of smooth Production releases planning and executionOversee software quality and system modificationsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.Analyze existing operations to identify risks and redundanciesConduct comprehensive assessments to develop solutionsLiaise with team members, management to ensure projects are completed to application development and governance standardKeep up-to-date with industry trends and developmentsResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development role with hand on codingDemonstrated thought leadership in designing complex and distrusted systemsIn depth knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, Distributed Cache/Systems (e.g. Apache Ignite)Hands on experience on relational databases like OracleAny experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is preferredExperience with Python is preferredGreat exposure to microservices architecture.API first design thinking and implementation using Rest, websocket and gRPCExperience with building applications on cloud platform such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShiftProven implementation of design pattern and enterprise level architectureStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamAble to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong organizational and project management skillsUI tech stack knowledge will be advantageUnderstanding of Risks (Greeks), risk calculation models like VaR/SIMM preferred and ability to work with Quant team is preferred.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent; master's degree in preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Applications Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Jersey City New Jersey United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$142,320.00 - $213,480.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
