Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Services Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift: 5x8 hours (07:00 - 15:00). On-call required 1-2 days/week and 1-2 weekends/month. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgical Services will be responsible for providing direct patient care for various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, general, gynecological, podiatry, C-sections, and endoscopy. The RN will work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Responsibilities Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs. Participate in patient assessments and plan care for surgical patients. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards. Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care. Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Epic). Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. Travel experience preferred. Must hold a valid RN license (compact license accepted). Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS. Proficiency in the use of the Epic charting system is mandatory.
