This role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, educating patients and parents, and ensuring efficient clinical operations. Title Dental assistant Job Description Key Responsibilities Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by state regulations Help children feel comfortable and at ease during dental visits Provide patient and parent education on oral hygiene and preventive care Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes Assist with coronal polishing, sealants, fluoride treatments, and other duties permitted by state regulations Monitor inventory and maintain dental supplies Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols Support a positive, child-friendly environment for patients and families Salary Range full-time $26 - $30 per hour - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Shift & Schedule Monday: 8AM-5PM Tuesday: Closed Wednesday: 8AM-5PM Thursday: 8AM-5PM Friday: 8AM-5PM Requirements Experienced Dental Assistant (1+ years) Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant At least 12 months of hands-on pediatric experience is necessary.
