Job Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

10-hour weekday shifts from 0645 to 1715, with call required on weekday nights and weekends.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in the Operating Room, where you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring efficient and safe surgical operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
• Manage anesthetic and surgical instruments while maintaining a sterile environment.
• Participate in surgical procedures by providing nursing support to surgeons and surgical teams.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patient conditions during procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Prepare patients for surgery and educate them and their families about the surgical process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS. CST certification is highly preferred for surgical techs.
• Previous travel experience is preferred, but strong candidates without travel background will be considered.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
