The Opportunity This is a hands-on role for an HR professional who does their best work on the production floor. You'll be the primary HR and safety partner for our hourly workforce, front-line supervisors, and plant leadership. You'll combine core HR responsibilities with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) support. What You'll Do Serve as the go-to HR resource for employees and supervisors across all shifts Conduct thorough, objective workplace investigations and document findings clearly Coach supervisors on performance management, attendance, corrective action, and documentation Support OSHA compliance, including 300/300A/301 recordkeeping, inspections, and safety documentation Take part in incident investigations, identify contributing factors, and drive corrective actions to completion Lead safety training, new-hire safety orientation, and ongoing EHS initiatives Manage injury reporting, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs Own recruiting and onboarding for production and support roles Handle HRIS transactions, benefits support, FMLA/ADA leave administration, and personnel records Ensure compliance with federal and North Carolina employment laws What You Bring 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in an HR Generalist or equivalent role Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, OR an active SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Hands-on EHS experience in manufacturing and working knowledge of OSHA requirements Experience with OSHA recordkeeping, incident investigations, and safety training Workers' compensation and return-to-work experience Strong employee relations skills: investigations, coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution A proven ability to connect with hourly employees and front-line supervisors Excellent judgment, documentation, and communication skills Discretion in handling confidential information Comfort maintaining a visible presence on the manufacturing floor Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems Bonus Points OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification Bilingual in English and Spanish Why Boaters World Manufacturing Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays A role with real visibility and impact on our people and our safety culture Boaters World Manufacturing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
