Our organization is seeking a full-time BE/BC Inpatient Psychiatrist to become a part of the Behavioral Health Hospitalist team at our Staten Island facility . The ideal applicant will be dynamic, forward-thinking, and thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role may also evolve into a leadership position for the right individual.

The Department of Behavioral Health Sciences at Staten Island University Hospital offers extensive psychiatric services within a private, patient-focused setting. With over 1,450 discharges annually, it stands out as one of the most active comprehensive mental health facilities on Staten Island.

Our 35-bed inpatient unit is dedicated to providing short-term hospital care aimed at assessing and stabilizing individuals with acute psychiatric conditions. We emphasize the importance of helping patients return to their normal lives as swiftly as possible while fostering self-esteem and enhancing social skills.

As a part of our organization, Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching facility situated in New York City's most rapidly expanding borough. The hospital encompasses two large campuses along with several community health centers and laboratories, delivering quality care to residents of Staten Island, the greater New York metropolitan area, and patients from around the globe. It is a significant affiliate of the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and serves as a clinical campus for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine.
