Computed Tomography Technologist

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Bakersfield, CA as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials when required, and operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic and interventional studies. This role supports a high-volume CT department performing a broad range of exams including neuro, abdominal/pelvic, spine, extremity, angiographic procedures, biopsies, drainages, cryoablation, and interventional support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of CT technologist experience.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (JRCERT preferred).
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography with CT specialty (ARRT-CT) verification.
• California CTI certification.
• BLS certification.
• Experience using Cerner, RadNet, and Merge Unity or similar EMR/PACS systems.
• Experience with Canon (or comparable) CT scanners, including 16–64 slice systems.
• Experience performing and assisting with interventional CT procedures and advanced imaging protocols (angiography, biopsies, cryoablation).
• Ability to respond to on-call requests within a 30-minute response time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a high-volume hospital CT department averaging a large daily scan volume.
• Experience working with in-house radiologists and within team-based imaging workflows.
• Prior float experience between campus locations or nearby hospitals.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: Fri–Sun 12-hour nights, every other week schedule (per shift notes).
• Typical scheduled hours documented as 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for the unit; verify exact start/end with recruiter.
• Orientation: 12 hours.
• First to float; may be required to float to another hospital campus approximately 6.5 miles away.
• On-call requirement with a 30-minute response time.
• Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday.
