Position Summary:

The Uniform Attendant is an integral part of the Nemacolin Uniform Room. They must have the ability to work closely with all associates and guests to ensure they receive their garments in a timely fashion.

Some of the skills required for this role include record-keeping via computer, professional communication, and excellent customer service. This position also requires providing the occasional sewing and hemming skills necessary to assist with alterations.

Essentially, the Uniform Attendant is responsible for ensuring the proper fit of all garments. They contribute to the overall operation of the Nemacolin Uniform Room by maintaining a high-quality and respectful work environment.

Essential Functions:

• Ensuring that associates and guests are properly fitted with the correct uniform items.
• Operating a sewing machine and blind hemmer.
• Sewing, hemming, making alterations, and placing buttons on garments.
• Keeping the Uniform Room clean and well organized.
• Helping other team members as needed.
• Communicating and addressing associates' and guests' concerns as they arise.
• Labeling and communicating inventory quantities.
• Tracking tasks and problem-solving.
• Maintaining Nemacolin standards at all times.
• Interacting with guests and associates in a professional and courteous manner.
• Must have the ability to problem solve and track the prioritization of tasks with minimal supervision.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Must be able to speak English.
• Excellent attention to detail, initiative, and passion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
• Able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as through prior work experience.
