Converse County Aging Services (CCAS) is seeking an experienced, strategic, compassionate Executive Director to lead our organization and its senior services operations in Douglas and Glenrock, Wyoming. This is a high-level nonprofit executive leadership opportunity for someone who is ready to lead people, strengthen operations, oversee senior center services and programs, work closely with a Board of Directors, build community partnerships, and help shape the future of aging services throughout Converse County. The Executive Director will provide leadership across the organization while ensuring that CCAS remains a welcoming, responsive, financially sustainable, and community-centered resource for older adults, caregivers, families, volunteers, and community members. And yes—you'll have to get used to seeing a jackalope around town. ;)

CCAS is more than an organization that provides services to older adults. Our senior centers are part of the community. They are places where people gather, connect, share meals, participate in activities and programs, access resources, build friendships, and remain engaged in the communities they call home. CCAS provides important senior services, aging services, community programs, nutrition services, activities, resources, and support for older adults throughout Converse County. The Executive Director plays an important role in making sure these services continue to meet the changing needs of the community. NOW ABOUT THE JOB...

We're looking for a leader who can take the big-picture executive view while understanding the details that make senior services and community operations successful. The Executive Director will: Provide strategic leadership for Converse County Aging Services and its mission to serve older adults and the community. Partner with the Board of Directors on governance, organizational strategy, policy, and long-term direction. Lead, support, and develop the organization's leadership team and staff. Provide executive oversight of senior center operations in Douglas and Glenrock, including programs, services, facilities, staffing, and community activities. Ensure senior center programs and services are responsive to the needs of older adults, caregivers, families, and the broader community. Oversee organizational compliance, risk management, policies, contracts, service agreements, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with Finance & Administration leadership on budgets, financial reporting, grants, cash flow, internal controls, and long-term financial sustainability. Support program leadership and promote high-quality, person-centered service delivery. Help ensure CCAS facilities and senior centers remain safe, welcoming, accessible, and community-focused. Build strong relationships with community partners, healthcare organizations, local governments, funding agencies, donors, volunteers, businesses, and other stakeholders. Represent CCAS as a visible and engaged leader throughout Converse County. Advocate for the needs and interests of older adults and aging communities. Develop strong organizational systems, processes, and accountability measures. Identify opportunities to strengthen programs, services, partnerships, funding, and community engagement. Help position CCAS for long-term growth, sustainability, and continued community impact.

SENIOR CENTER & COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP

This position requires more than traditional administrative leadership. The Executive Director should understand what it takes to operate a successful senior center and community-based aging services organization. That includes recognizing the importance of: Creating welcoming and inclusive senior center environments. Supporting meaningful programs, activities, meals, social opportunities, and community connections. Understanding the operational needs of multiple locations. Supporting staff who work directly with older adults and community members. Maintaining strong relationships with participants, families, volunteers, and community partners. Responding to changing demographics and the evolving needs of older adults. Balancing mission, service quality, financial responsibility, and operational sustainability. Ensuring CCAS remains a trusted and visible part of the Converse County community. The right Executive Director will be comfortable moving between boardroom strategy and community connection—from reviewing a budget or grant proposal to visiting a senior center, talking with staff, meeting with community partners, or listening to the people CCAS serves.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN EXECUTIVE-LEVEL LEADER

This isn't a position for someone who wants to simply keep the wheels turning. We're looking for someone who can lead, plan, make decisions, develop people, understand the numbers, manage complexity, strengthen operations, and build relationships. You should bring: Strong executive leadership and communication skills. Strategic thinking and organizational planning abilities. Financial literacy and comfort with budgets, financial reports, grants, and organizational finances. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Experience leading teams and organizational operations. Experience with nonprofit, human services, senior services, healthcare, community services, or a related organization is highly valued. An understanding of senior center operations, aging services, community-based services, or programs serving older adults is preferred. Excellent relationship-building and community engagement skills. Professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment. A genuine commitment to serving older adults, supporting independence, and strengthening communities. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Human Services, Gerontology, Social Services, or a related field is preferred, along with 3–5 years of leadership or management experience. Equivalent leadership experience may be considered.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting salary: $80,000 annually, with consideration given to experience and qualifications.
