Engineering SupervisorThe Engineering Supervisor will work closely with the Manager of Facilities Engineer and provide supervision of the Engineering team at both low and high-rise buildings. This includes the efficient operation, oversight and upkeep of the central plants, the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, controls, plumbing and electrical systems, building envelopes, and grounds. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinate all maintenance activities, manage vendor and employee relationships, and collaborate with contractors to ensure the facility operates efficiently, remains safe and is compliant with all regulations.What You'll Do:Execute weekly workplans, including preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work orders assigned through the CMMS and mobile platformsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activity, equipment performance, repair history, and costs in the CMMSWork closely with the Chief Engineer to provide support for central chiller plants and other critical infrastructure supporting the sites, data centers, and critical spacesMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including critical infrastructure, to ensure continuous, efficient, and safe operationsPartner with Facility Operations on all MEP and critical infrastructure preventative maintenance programsParticipate and provide support for annual LAFD REG4 testingMonitor N4 building automation systems (BAS) to optimize energy use, systems performance, and maintain comfortable environments for employees and guests. Provide updates to management and Central Monitoring teams on alarms and impacts on operationsWork closely with the Critical Infrastructure System team on the ArcGIS platform, projects and emergency response strategiesPartner with the Asset Management team to drive EAM processes and ensure assets are tagged and data is accurate in the Master Asset ListParticipate in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and key performance indicators (KPI's) with Facility Operations and the Asset Management teamOversee vendor and 3rd party contracted services to ensure scope of work is completed as required. Includes having all documents and costs added to the asset in the CMMSPartner with NBCU departments to ensure compliance and safety tasks are addressed promptly (AQMD, OSHA, ADA and other regulatory requirements)Support emergency preparedness initiatives and attend drills and exercises related to fire, disaster response, and business continuityEnsure that general safety, fire prevention regulations, and safe working habits are enforcedAttend bid walks and assist with project oversite when requiredSupport of multiple sites and assign tasks to Engineering teams as required within the Los Angeles areaMaintain OSHA 30-hour certificationOther duties as assignedLet's Talk About You:Cool Under Pressure – You handle stressful situations with ease and professionalism while juggling multiple stakeholders and competing prioritiesCommunicates with ease – You have a way with words; written and verbalTech-savvy – You are an MS Office whiz and can take on new software with easeWhat You Have:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent7+ years of experience in building engineering or a related fieldWorking knowledge of Class A commercial building operations and applicable fire/life safety testing requirements, including Los Angeles REG 4 where relevant.Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems (BAS), including the ability to troubleshoot and coordinate repairs.Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and energy efficiency practices.Valid state Class C Driver's LicenseWhat Will Make You Stand Out:Associates degree or technical certification in building systemsOSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification, or ability to obtain/maintain certification within a company-designated timeframe.Tridium N4 knowledgeEPA Universal Certification for refrigerantsRelevant trade license HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low voltageAdditional Requirements:Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.Ability to work flexible hours and travel as neededThis position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
