Laboratory Supervisor

Job Location: Stewart Memorial Community Hospital - Lake City - Lake City, IA 51449 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Laboratory Supervisor Laboratory Department Full-Time Position RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, organize, coordinate and direct department functions in order to achieve set organizational goals Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in order to keep laboratories within compliance for quality patient care. Manage a team of professional MLTs and Phlebotomists with the ability to coach, train, encourage and hold accountable to the Standards of Behavior Write, review, revise, and implement all policies and procedures Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all directors and physicians Promote and participate in hospital projects and public relations programs, patient surveys, and community education programs POSITION REQUIREMENTS Fulltime position MLT/MT Bachelors degree preferred Associates degree accepted with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Laboratory profession based on CLIA 1988 guidelines for technical supervisor ASCP or equivalent license required. Computer knowledge with Word, Excel required.
