About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS certification required NIHSS certification required ACLS certification preferred Must-Have: Experience in cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and management of dysrhythmias. Skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and central line care. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform telemetry monitoring. Description: The role requires a registered nurse with 1 to 2 years of experience in a progressive care setting. This position involves a patient ratio of 1:5. The nurse will float between multiple units as needed. The nurse must possess skills in cardiac telemetry, emergency response, and monitoring. Experience with sepsis management, wound care, and post-cardiac catheterization is essential. The nurse should also be skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with a total of 8 weekend shifts required in a 6-week period. The nurse will participate in holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as required by the unit. Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed. This position does not have on-call requirements. The facility provides interdisciplinary support from various healthcare teams. Required skills include management of various patient diagnoses such as AFIB, renal failure, and stroke. Adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with staff and patients is critical. The role also requires completion of compliance modules prior to starting the position.
