Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 13- or 18-Week Assignments Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Care for patients who may require ventilator management
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, expected to work at least every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license; license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of combined permanent employment experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months is required; co-worker references are not accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med/Surg Telemetry location (combined experience across locations is also considered)
• Familiarity with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital environment
