Compensation Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Compensation, the Compensation Partner serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR partners, providing strategic compensation guidance and analytical expertise that supports talent attraction, retention, and organizational performance. This role balances compensation consulting with operational excellence, driving the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation programs across the Family of Companies. The ideal candidate brings strong market pricing expertise, business acumen, and a consultative approach to partnering with leaders on compensation decisions, organizational design, job architecture, and pay equity initiatives. This position plays a key role in ensuring compensation programs remain market-competitive, internally equitable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic compensation advisor to leaders, HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders across the organization. Provide compensation guidance for promotions, transfers, organizational changes, retention requests, and new hire offers. Partner with leadership to develop compensation recommendations that align with business strategy and talent objectives. Support compensation-related decision-making through data-driven insights and market intelligence. Promote consistent application of compensation policies, practices, and governance standards. Conduct job evaluations and leveling assessments to ensure alignment with organizational career frameworks. Perform market pricing analyses utilizing survey data, benchmarking tools, and industry trends. Analyze external labor market conditions and emerging compensation practices to inform recommendations. Support the administration and ongoing maintenance of salary structures, pay ranges, and career architecture. Contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of compensation programs, policies, and processes. Administer compensation programs and annual compensation processes, including merit increases and incentive planning cycles. Process, audit, and validate compensation transactions within HR systems (Infor/GHR preferred). Maintain compensation-related data, job codes, salary grades, and organizational records. Ensure accurate documentation, controls, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Support compensation governance through quality assurance and audit activities. Develop and deliver compensation reporting, dashboards, and workforce analytics. Conduct pay equity, salary compression, range penetration, and internal equity analyses. Support compensation budgeting, workforce planning, forecasting, and accrual processes. Prepare data and analysis for compensation surveys, audits, compliance reviews, and leadership reporting. Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. Five (5) or more years of progressive compensation experience with increasing responsibility. Experience in market pricing, job evaluation, salary structure administration, and compensation consulting. Demonstrated success conducting compensation analyses, benchmarking, and internal equity reviews. Experience supporting annual compensation planning cycles, including merit and incentive programs. Hands‑on experience with HRIS systems and compensation data management (Infor/GHR preferred). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and compensation analytics.
