Position CT Teacher Residency Program Instructor – Per Diem. Current focus: seeking middle grades/secondary math instructors for summer 2026. Deadline for summer course instructors is June 12, 2026. Position Summary CT TRP seeks instructors for the Connecticut Teacher Residency Program in multiple locations. The program attracts candidates who can work well with diverse students in elementary, comprehensive special education, and middle grades math, and minimizes barriers to traditional certification. Participants engage in coursework and classroom experiences under a mentor while completing classes and certification exams. Residency lasts a full school year and guides successful candidates to job opportunities in partner districts. The curriculum centers on Equity, Collaboration, Courage, and Excellence. We seek highly qualified individuals with a Master’s in the content area to instruct courses across all CT regions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Planning and instructing based on the approved syllabus and course content. Assessing students’ mastery of essential skills and knowledge. Providing feedback and assistance to students. Assisting residents in preparing for certification assessments (if applicable). Minimum of 5 years teaching experience. Master’s Degree (required), preferably in the subject area. Expertise in current educational research and practice. Understanding of CT State Standards, assessments, teaching standards, and certification assessments (e.g., Praxis II, Foundations of Reading). Skill in teaching adult learners. Specialized skill or experience in course content. Ability to deliver instruction in both online and face-to-face settings using Canvas, Zoom, and Google. Travel Requirements Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or ability to provide transportation to meetings, trainings, and professional learning opportunities as required. Pay Compensation based on course credit equivalents: 0.33 credits – $400; 1.00 credit – $15,200; 1.5 credits – $22,500; 3.00 credits – $3,600.
