Associate Director, People Support - HRConnect People Solutions

Position Summary Associate Director, HRConnect People Support is responsible for leading a team dedicated to delivering excellent and efficient employee experience as the first point of contact for all HR‑related matters within AbbVie’s global HR operations shared service center. The role collaborates closely with cross‑functional partners—including employees, Business HR, Total Rewards, Payroll, Finance, Digital and Data strategy, Business Technology Solution and vendor partners—to deliver on AbbVie HR Strategic Choices, HR Operations Strategic Priorities and meet business needs. It requires managing mandates across multiple geographies and working with global teams, interacting with stakeholder relationships, translating business requirements, and transforming them into system and HR services solutions. Responsibilities Champion the services and content available to employees and ensure HR Operations deliver an excellent employee experience. Build and sustain a high‑performing, highly engaged team of HR Operations Consultants. Identify, sponsor and deliver process optimization efforts, including technology enhancements, that reduce resolution time and manual effort, improving employee experience. Serve as liaison to HR business partners globally to support the alignment of HR Operations People Experience support to HR strategies, identifying ways to increase employee and manager self‑service and reduce risks of human errors and administrative effort for affiliate HR teams and COE partners. Effectively engage with stakeholders (internal and external) to meet or exceed key service level agreements, quality targets and performance indicators. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 8‑10+ years of experience in HR and/or HR operations support. Demonstrated experience building and sustaining a high‑performing, highly engaged people team. Experience managing HR services for a large, geographically dispersed corporate employee population (over 10,000 employees) operating globally. Experience with HR, Time and Payroll solutions (e.g., Workday, SAP), CRM case‑management platform and related data/vendor management. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and strategic planning skills. Effective leadership skills that motivate and drive a disciplined approach responsive to business needs. Strong stakeholder management experience at all levels with a bias toward delivering efficient people solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
