Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring critical care experience with vents, Swans, Impellas, and balloon pumps.

Details

• Work in the CVICU unit of a hospital setting with 24 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Uses specialized equipment including vents, Swans, Impellas, and balloon pumps
• Performs procedures such as intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, EVDs, ICP monitoring, pacers, and bolts
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• May float to Doctors ICU
• May be placed on call only for scheduled shifts if not needed, with no other call expectations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• CV surgery experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and support
• Team includes a CNC, 12 RNs, a Unit Secretary, and 1-3 sitters per week
• Royal blue scrubs required per unit dress code
• Excellent customer service skills valued for this role
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
