AV Pros NY is a leading provider of integrated audiovisual solutions for commercial, educational, and corporate environments. We specialize in the deployment of cutting‑edge technology and highly integrated AV systems, and we are seeking a detail‑oriented AV Estimator to support our sales, engineering, and project management teams. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing accurate project estimates, reviewing bid documents, coordinating with vendors, and developing cost proposals for audiovisual and low‑voltage projects. Responsibilities Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate AV project estimates. Develop detailed proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for audiovisual systems and related technologies. Prepare bill of materials (BOM), labor estimates, and scope of work documentation. Analyze project requirements and recommend appropriate AV solutions based on client needs and project budgets. Assist in preparing formal bid submissions and proposal packages. Work with manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing, product availability, and technical information. Maintain updated vendor pricing lists and equipment databases. Request and review vendor quotations for accuracy and completeness. Identify cost‑saving opportunities and alternative solutions when necessary. Coordinate with suppliers regarding lead times and product substitutions. Project Coordination & Documentation Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure estimates align with project scope and client expectations. Assist with reviewing contracts, project specifications, and change orders. Maintain organized estimating files, project documentation, and revision tracking. Support project handoff meetings by providing complete estimate documentation to operations teams. Prepare reports related to project costs, budgeting, and estimating progress. Bidding Support Help respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s). Compose RFIs (Requests for Information) and follow through for timely responses. Translate client requirements into Requests for Pricing (RFP) for vendors and subcontractors. Review bid requirements and ensure proposals comply with project specifications and deadlines. Support Engineering, Sales, and Operations departments with estimating‑related tasks. Assist with procurement coordination and project budgeting. Cooperate in the preparation of simple presentations and client‑facing proposal documents. Stay updated with industry trends, AV technologies, and pricing changes. Skills We Are Looking For Knowledge of audiovisual systems, low‑voltage systems, and AV infrastructure. Familiarity with AV technologies including displays, audio systems, video conferencing, and control systems. Knowledge of control systems such as Crestron, QSC, Extron, and AMX is a plus. Strong understanding of project estimating, budgeting, and proposal preparation. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with AutoCAD and reading construction drawings is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, engineers, project managers, and clients. Willingness to learn AV, IT, Security, and Networking systems. Certifications We Want to See CTS or CTS‑D certifications are a plus but not required. Any AV industry‑related certifications or manufacturer training are also a plus. Requirements Working from office place located in Hicksville NY. Hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday‑Friday. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
