Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position in the Med/Oncology unit. This role offers day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.

Unit Capacity: 39 Beds
Staff Members: 60

Shift Information

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Patient Care Ratios

1:5 on Day Shift
1:6 on Night Shift

Equipment & Technology

Key equipment used on the unit includes:

Alaris IV pumps
Pyxis systems
Arjo lifts
Novastat technology
Computers in every room

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Active RN License
Current BLS Certification
Exceptional communication and time management skills
Medication safety proficiency (minimum of 98% of medications safely scanned and administered)

Preferred Skills:

Chemotherapy certification
Flexibility to work on days or nights

Typical Procedures

The RN will be required to perform a variety of medical procedures pertinent to the Med/Onc unit.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be friendly, team-oriented, and capable of making meaningful personal connections with patients and staff members.

Schedule Requirements

Two weekends per month
On-call duty only in case of low patient volume

Dress Code

The expected attire is navy blue scrubs.
