We are looking for a Government Affairs Intern. This position will be based at our Washington, D.C. office. You’ll make an impact by: Conducting research on U.S. legislative, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to Siemens’ government affairs priorities Monitoring public policy updates and preparing internal summary notes and briefings for the Government Affairs team Assisting with the preparation and organization of materials for internal meetings, external engagements, and events Supporting internal coordination efforts by compiling background information, tracking action items, and maintaining organized records Drafting written summaries, memos, and communications under the guidance and review of the supervisor You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively across multi-cultural teams, while also working independently and seeking guidance as needed Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, Legal Studies, Political Science, or related programs Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Exception: Will consider sponsorship of short-term internship (up to 12 months) through the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program. J-1 interns must be post-secondary university students or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to the Exchange Visitor Program start date.
