About Maddox + You:

As a Sand & Prep Technician, you would be working in a shop environment where your responsibilities will include:

• Sanding the surface of transformers to promote high adhesion of paint products.
• Using various hand tools and sub-surface products, completely prepare the surface in such a way as to promote a good finished product.
• Pressure washing off all oils and debris
• Taping-off all parts and components that should not be painted.
• Removing all plastic and tape after the unit is painted and set in the QC area.

It's a fast-paced, hard-working, but very rewarding environment where you will be part of a team of qualified technicians who rebuild industrial transformers. More about You:

• You love working with your hands to fix things and solve problems.
• You're comfortable with online documentation and web-based software systems (with computer & smartphone).
• You're a good communicator; in-person, over the phone, and via email.
• You're a good learner; not a know-it-all.

Basics:

• Full-time. The schedule is generally 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Comprehensive Full-Time Benefits, including:

• 3 Weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) (and an additional week for managers, and an additional week after 5 years).

Experience & Education:

We value skills and experience, but we're also willing to invest in training early-career candidates with the right attitude and ambition.

Pay: $21.52 - $28.07 per hour, depending on experience. Plus bonus and other benefits including up to $1k/month wellness stipend. This position has a path to promotion to "Level 2 Tech", which earns up to $32.74 per hour, and can continue growing from there.
