The plant has a Good Goes Around Committee focused on employee engagement and hosts different family and community events throughout the year.What we have to offer:Up to 120 hours (pro-rated to start date) in the first year, and 88 Holiday hoursGreat paid time off benefits401(k) matchHealth insurance- includes medical, dental and life.And much more!Your work schedule and shift information:12-hour shifts with 3-2-2 schedule5:45 am to 6:00 pm (day shift)5:45 pm to 6:00 am (night shift)Shift rotation every 8 weeks (day to night or night to days)Scheduled work patternShort week: (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday) 36.75 hoursLong week: (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday) 48.60 hoursAbility and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidaysPlant operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per weekKey accountabilities:Support packaging and processing operationsParticipate in equipment startup, changeovers, and shutdownsTroubleshoot equipment issues and partner with MaintenanceCalibrate systems to meet required specificationsPerform quality and safety checksClean and sanitize production equipment and work areasParticipates in continuous improvement initiativesAssist in training new employeesAssist other plant areas as assignedMinimum qualifications:High school diploma or GED2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required or other mechanical technical experience required i.e.: HVAC and/or mechanical experienceAll employees must go through a forklift certification course and are required to drive a forkliftMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensEligibility:Applicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.Equal opportunity employer (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
