Doctor of Medicine | Gastroenterology Location: Albuquerque, NM Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 9/14/2026 About the Position Position: Locum Gastroenterology Physician – Inpatient Procedures Focus Location: Albuquerque, NM Start Date: 9/14/2026 – Ongoing EMR: EPIC Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Physician for a locum opportunity focusing primarily on high-volume inpatient procedures. This role offers a predictable weekday schedule, no weekends or holidays, and minimal rounding responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Perform 8–10 procedures per day, primarily inpatient scopes at the main hospital Manage urgent cases such as esophageal food bolus impactions, with direct access to the lab Occasionally round with APPs if patient needs require Handle consults for patients who are stable and can safely come down to the lab when service is busy Preferred Experience: ERCP and EUS experience is preferred but not required Adult Gastroenterology & Hepatology procedures Procedures Performed: Adult Gastroenterology & Hepatology procedures Inpatient Upper GI Endoscopy, including: Foreign body removal Fulguration of bleeders (cautery) Banding of varices Esophageal dilation Lower GI Endoscopy: Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Colonoscopy with polyp excision Requirements Required Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (must be certified within 5 years of completing training) BLS and ACLS NM license DEA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 hours/day, on-site Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Paid lunches and breaks No call, weekends, or holidays EMR: EPIC Additional Info: Shifts will vary depending on needs; no shifts will be scheduled until credentialed Why Join Us: High-volume procedural experience with a supportive team Predictable schedule with no call or weekend coverage Competitive locum pay Work in a modern facility with advanced procedural labs
