RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays
• On-call every 5th weekend with no callback minimum
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 1:1 patient staffing ratio
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with IR experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• WV or Compact license required (pending acceptable)
• May float to CAMC General Lab CDL
• Perform specialized procedures including angiograms, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization
• Treat patients with conditions including CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm
• Use Cerner charting system
• Royal blue/white scrub colors required
• Orientation occurs every other Thursday with 40 orientation hours
• 2-6 hours of non-billable modules required prior to start

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 total staffed beds. The facility is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) and operates as a short-term acute care hospital. The Interventional Radiology department features 4 rooms with 12 beds and maintains a daily census of 8 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
